‘Dhurandhar 2’ Trailer: Ranveer Singh Returns As Hamza In Aditya Dhar’s Action Sequel; Teases Past And Present Spy Game

The makers of “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” (also referred to as “Dhurandhar 2”) have finally given fans what they wanted. The trailer for the much-anticipated film has dropped on the internet after a long wait. Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, the trailer had been generating buzz since last week and has now arrived, offering an intriguing sneak peek into the world created by writer-director Aditya Dhar.

“Dhurandhar: The Revenge”, set to hit big screens on March 19, 2026, is one of the biggest releases of the year. The trailer hints at a full-blown action spectacle as the sequel picks up exactly where the first film (2025) left off. We see Hamza, played by Singh, now ruling after climbing up the ladder and sitting on the throne once occupied by Rahman Dakait, portrayed by Akshaye Khanna.

The trailer captures the tension and drama effectively, packing in a massive amount of action along with layers of intrigue. Directed by Dhar, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” makes it clear through its promotional material that the story will move frequently between the present and the past. The first film had already hinted that the sequel would explore Hamza’s backstory and his motivation to become a spy for India, infiltrate Pakistan and dismantle the syndicate from within.

Shashwat Sachdev returns as the music composer. The film will also bring back several recurring characters, including those played by Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Sanjay Dutt.

“Dhurandhar: The Revenge” was initially scheduled to clash with "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups," starring Yash. However, the makers later postponed the film’s release to June 2026 due to tensions in the Middle East, a key market for director Geethu Mohandas’s project.

With that shift, “Dhurandhar 2” now enjoys a clearer runway at the box office, facing competition only from "Ustaad Bhagat Singh" featuring Pawan Kalyan.
