‘Dhurandhar 2’ Box Office: Ranveer Singh’s Spy Actioner Grosses over ₹100 Crore For Its Opening Weekend In Advance Sales

Amid the unprecedented buzz across the country, Ranveer Singh-starrer “Dhurandhar 2” is arriving in cinemas tomorrow through paid previews beginning from 4: 45 pm across the country. The spy-actioner has been on a record-breaking spree in pre-advance sales and has already emerged as the biggest preview grosser even before its release.

While the trade and industry have high hopes from “Dhurandhar 2,” it has already crossed the ₹90 crore mark for its preview and extended opening weekend in pre-advance sales.

The film has collected ₹27.45 crore (gross ₹32.67 crore) for its preview shows. For its extended weekend, which is for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it has earned ₹20.97 crore (gross ₹24.97 crore), ₹13.02 crore (gross ₹15.50 crore), ₹16.95 crore (gross ₹20.18 crore) and ₹13.32 crore (gross ₹15.86 crore), respectively. The pre-advances sales of “Dhurandhar 2” stand at ₹91.71 crore (gross ₹108.44 crore).

Despite being on the expensive side, the tickets for the film are selling like hotcakes, clearly indicating the curiosity and craze among cinegoers. While the first part has emerged as the highest Bollywood grosser, the sequel has the potential to become the first ₹1000 crore Hindi language grosser in India.

The Aditya Dhar-directed film, which also features Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Pandor among others, is bankrolled under the banners of B62 Studios and Jio Studios.

The editing department is handled by Shivakumar V. Panicker, while the camera is cranked by Vikash Nowlakha. Shashwat Sachdev has composed the album for the movie.
