‘Dhurandhar 2’ Achieves the Impossible, Crushes ₹100 crore Single-day Barrier For Hindi Cinema
“Dhurandhar: The Revenge” has achieved the unthinkable. Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh's action spectacle went wild at the box office across India on Saturday, collecting a staggering ₹109.04 crore net on its third day, including the historic ₹101.39 crore in Hindi alone.
This feat not only marks the biggest single-day collection ever in Hindi, but it also establishes a new benchmark in Indian cinema, as “Dhurandhar 2” becomes the first-ever film to cross the ₹100 crore net mark in a single language in one day. Previously, the record for the highest single day in Hindi was held by “Pushpa 2: The Rule” (₹85 crore net), but “Dhurandhar 2” has eclipsed that record by a massive margin of over ₹20 crore.
A 100 crore-day in Hindi was unthinkable and unachievable for Indian movies — until now. “Dhurandhar 2” has made that a reality, pushing the boundaries of Indian cinema and truly unleashing the potential of the movie business in India. This film is rewriting the box office history and setting new benchmarks that could stay unchallenged for years to come. From ₹10 crore a day with “Ghaini” in 2009 to the ₹100 crore a day milestone, Hindi cinema has come a long way, only growing stronger with time.
