‘Deool Band 3’: Pravin Tarde Begins Work on Third Installment of the Franchise, Film to Be Set in the US (EXCLUSIVE)
After the success of “Deool Band” and “Deool Band 2”, filmmaker Pravin Tarde has begun work on “Deool Band 3. The next installment in his popular franchise will be set in America. Tarde has started developing the subject and working on the script. However, the project is still in the early stages, and it may be some time before the film goes on the floors.
“Deool Band 2,” which released on May 21, 2026, emerged as a major success. The Marathi film also received support from superstar Shah Rukh Khan during its release. Details on the cast, storyline, and production schedule are expected to be announced later.

“Deool Band,” which hit the screen in 2015, explored the themes of faith, doubt and the search for answers through the story of a young man whose scientific outlook challenges deeply held religious beliefs. The film struck a chord with audiences for its thought-provoking premise and performances, and emerged as a notable Marathi film centered on belief and self-discovery.
“Deool Band 2,” which released in May 2026, took the spiritual themes of its predecessor forward while introducing a new chapter in the story. It follows an atheist woman who challenges faith while confronting farmer suicides, debt and a spiritual test that could save her village. The sequel explored questions of faith, destiny and the relationship between human beings and a higher power.
Tarde, who has appeared in many popular Marathi films, made his directorial debut with “Deool Band.” Besides the “Deool Band” franchise, had helmed films like “Mulshi Pattern,” “Dharmaveer,” “Sarsenapati Hambirrao” and “Dharmaveer 2.”
