BTS member SUGA And IU To Collaborate For The Third Time; Buzz Leaves ARMY Excited
BTS rapper, music producer, and songwriter SUGA (real name: Min Yoongi) is reportedly all set to collaborate with “When Life Gives You Tangerines” actress IU (real name: Lee Ji-eun) for their third song. He will be producing and featuring in one of the songs of her sixth mini-album. As per Korean news outlets, IU is planning to release a mini album later this year. It will have a total of six songs.
Out of all the BTS members, SUGA has been most active as a music producer right from the start. BTS is going to make a comeback with their album ARIRANG in March. There is immense excitement as top American music producer and DJ Diplo has teamed up with the iconic Korean band that will hold a free concert in Seoul, South Korea on March 21.
IU got immense love in 2025 with her performance in “When Life Gives You Tangerines” and is all set to feature in the Disney+ drama “Perfect Crown” that has Byeon Woo-seok as her leading man. In the past, SUGA and IU collaborated on the song “Eight” that came out in 2020. It was a pop-rock number.

Later, in 2023, she featured in SUGA’s Agust D album, “D-DAY” for the song, “People Pt.2.” The soulful song got noticed for its introspective lyrics. BTS fans have always loved their collaborations which have been melodic with good lyrics. In fact, SUGA was also a songwriter on the lyrical number, “Song Request” which was mainly written by IU and Tablo. It achieved an all-kill on the local music charts. Coincidentally, it featured Byeon Woo-seok who is IU’s latest co-star.
So far, Big Hit Music or IU's agency EDAM Entertainment has not commented on the matter. BTS ARMY is already excited over the news given how well their former songs have been received. IU said she identified with the deeply personal, emotional charged nature of SUGA’s songs. The singer-actress said that over the years, she discovered what a warm person the BTS rapper is.
