BTS Doffs Hat To Park Chan-wook’s ‘Oldboy’ with Just-Released ‘2.0’ Music Video

BTS has just released the music video for their song, "2.0." The teaser had reminded fans of the Park Chan-wook classic, "Oldboy," (2003) which was a rage all over the world. Well, the band in their credits gave a special mention to the filmmaker whose movie, "No Other Choice," starring Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin wowed film enthusiasts in 2025.

In the video, we can see BTS members dressed as gangsters coming out of an old lift. They face some armed hooligans in a dimly lit corridor in a visual that instantly reminds us of the Choi Min-sik thriller. 

The boys are seen in a couple of looks in the "2.0" music video. Fans of BTS will love the sharp choreography of the song. The moves are stylish and it is evident that their concepts in the comeback era are different from what we have seen so far. The song "2.0" belongs to the rappers and we see J-hope (real name: Jung Hoseok), SUGA (real name: Min Yoon-gi) and RM (real name: Kim Namjoon) take centrestage. J-hope and Jimin have eye-catching dance breaks in the song. 

The music video is directed by Lee Hangyeol, who was also the creator of Younji's "Robot" MV. 'Hitman' Bang is the chief producer of the video. The song "2.0" is composed by Mike WiLL Made-It (real name: Michael Len Williams II) and Pluss (real name: Asheton Terrance O'Neil Hogan). The BTS album "ARIRANG" has a total of 14 tracks. The ones that are being appreciated the most are "Like Animals," "Hooligan," "FYA," and the title track "SWIM."
