Arijit Singh Drops First Independent Track ‘Raina’ With Shekhar Ravjiani After Retirement Announcement
Singer Arijit Singh has been in the news over the past month following his shocking announcement that he would retire from playback singing. Now, Singh has released his first independent single since that announcement, collaborating with ace musician Shekhar Ravjiani on a track titled ‘Raina’. The singer shared the update on his social media.
Taking to Instagram, Singh unveiled ‘Raina’, marking his first independent release post the retirement announcement and sending his fandom into a frenzy. The song reunites him with Ravjiani for the second time after their 2023 independent hit ‘Kasam Se’.
Priya Saraiya has penned the lyrics for the track, which has been released under the banner of Garuudaa Music. Fans flooded the comments section with emotional reactions, expressing both excitement and nostalgia over the collaboration.

Meanwhile, Singh was last associated with the ‘O’ Romeo’ soundtrack and still has several unreleased songs that he recorded before announcing his retirement. The singer confirmed this in his previous post, clarifying that he had already made certain commitments and would be fulfilling them. This means listeners can expect him to feature on a few music albums for some time.
On X, Singh wrote, “This message is just for my listeners. Please don’t read and swipe right now if you are not my listener, it’s a humble request. Hello beautiful people! I just want to tell you all that I love you. Thank you so much for your kindness in this ruthless world. Although I have stopped taking new assignments, the list of pending songs is not small. I will have to complete a lot of songs.”
He further added, “Don’t involve yourself in explaining to people. How many times will you? There are so many unfinished songs. They are going to keep releasing until they are done. Maybe this whole year, maybe it will extend into next year too. Be peaceful. Try to get out of this platform. Remove spike proteins from your body, leave 5G, read, love, meditate. Jay Devi!”
