From ‘Scream 7’ to ‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth’: These Trailers Played at Super Bowl LX

Super Bowl LX wasn’t just a battle between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. Honestly, the real competition played out between the ads. Leading up to the game, everyone buzzed about which franchises would drop new trailers, sequels and curveballs during those pricey commercial breaks, and the studios didn’t disappoint. The night turned into a rapid-fire preview of what’s coming in 2026.

Scream 7 (Big Game Spot)

Date of release: February 27, 2026
Director: Kevin Williamson
Cast: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and Isabel May

Paramount kicked things off with a "Scream 7" spot, premiering their new trailer just weeks before the movie’s February 27 release. Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox are back, along with new threats from Isabel May and company. The trailer doesn’t waste time, just a flurry of jump scares and sharp edits, all classic Kevin Williamson slasher vibes.

Hoppers (Big Game Spot)

Date of release: March 6, 2026
Director: Daniel Chong
Cast: Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm

Walt Disney Studios rolled out a sneaky peek at "Hoppers", Pixar’s next big swing, arriving March 6. Daniel Chong directs, with Piper Curda and Jon Hamm as animal spies, yeah, you read that right. Meryl Streep even lends her voice and the quick cuts promise loads of action and laughs.

Project Hail Mary

Date of release: March 20, 2026
Director: Phil Lord and Christopher Miller
Cast: Ryan Gosling, Ken Leung and Milana Vayntrub

Amazon MGM went for epic with the final "Project Hail Mary" trailer. Ryan Gosling takes center stage as a lone astronaut, stuck out in space with Sandra Hüller for company. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller direct this adaptation of Andy Weir’s sci-fi novel and the trailer leans heavy on problem-solving and tension.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Date of release: April 1, 2026
Director: Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic
Cast: Chris Pratt, Benny Safdie and Anya Taylor-Joy

Universal kept the hits coming with "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie", landing April 1. Chris Pratt’s back as Mario, with Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black and Charlie Day along for the ride. If you loved the last Mario movie, this one looks even wilder, galaxies, power-ups, all the chaos.

The Mandalorian and Grogu

Date of release: May 22, 2026
Director: Jon Favreau
Cast: Jeremy Allen White, Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver

Disney didn’t stop there. "The Mandalorian and Grogu" got a new trailer, teasing their leap from TV to the big screen on May 22. Pedro Pascal and Grogu are back, with Sigourney Weaver now in the mix. Jon Favreau directs and the footage brings classic "Star Wars" action.

Disclosure Day

Date of release: June 12, 2026
Director: Steven Spielberg
Cast: Josh O'Connor, Emily Blunt and Eve Hewson

Universal also gave a new look at "Disclosure Day", Steven Spielberg’s latest, out June 12. Emily Blunt leads, joined by Josh O’Connor and Colin Firth, with a script by David Koepp. The teaser hints at a suspenseful hunt for buried secrets.

Supergirl

Date of release: June 26, 2026
Director: Craig Gillespie
Cast: Milly Alcock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa

Warner Bros. took a different route and used the "Puppy Bowl" to plug Supergirl. Milly Alcock stars, Jason Momoa makes an appearance, and Craig Gillespie directs. The spot is pure DC energy, just delivered with a furry twist.

Minions and Monsters

Date of release: July 1, 2026
Director: Pierre Coffin
Cast: Pierre Coffin and Steve Carell

Then Universal dropped the first look at "Minions & Monsters", coming July 1. Pierre Coffin puts the Minions in a monster world, and the trailer is all frantic chases and ridiculous group gags, classic Illumination.

The Adventures of Cliff Booth

To cap things off, David Fincher and Brad Pitt surprised everyone with a teaser for their new movie, "The Adventures of Cliff Booth". It’s a comedy-drama sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, with Pitt slipping right back into his old role. The crowd definitely wasn’t expecting that one.
