Ali Abbas Zafar Confirms Film With ‘Saiyaara’ Star Ahaan Panday By Sharing First On-Set Picture
After a long stretch of rumours and speculation, it appears that Ali Abbas Zafar has finally put them to rest by confirming his collaboration with “Saiyaara” star Ahaan Panday. The two are uniting for a romantic action drama that will also star Sharvari opposite Panday. Zafar confirmed the news with a candid photo featuring the two just before they head to the floors.
“Power Isn’t Given… It’s TAKEN. Let’s Roll #AhaanPanday,” Zafar wrote alongside the picture he shared. The shot shows him and Panday outside a film studio as they prepare to begin shooting for their untitled romantic action drama. Dressed in black outfits and contrasting leather jackets, the image has left fans excited.

Recently, we reported that Panday and Zafar will begin shooting in March, with the first schedule spanning nearly a month in Mumbai. The team will then move to the U.K. for an extensive second schedule.
“Ahaan will kick off the London schedule in May 2026 with a massive action sequence that will be shot over five days. He has been vigorously preparing for the role and has undergone intense hand-to-hand combat and weapons training. This film will present him in a completely different avatar from ‘Saiyaara,’” said a source close to the project.

The untitled film is expected to wrap by July 2026, with a theatrical release targeted for early 2027. Panday and Sharvari play the romantic leads, while Aaishvary Thackeray — who made his debut with Anurag Kashyap’s “Nishaanchi” — is said to play the antagonist.
The project also marks Zafar’s return to the YRF banner after a nine-year hiatus. He previously delivered major successes for the studio, including “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan,” “Gunday,” “Sultan,” and “Tiger Zinda Hai.”
