Adivi Sesh-Mrunal Thakur starrer Dacoit Postponed Again; To Clash With Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ At Box-Office
Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur starrer “Dacoit” has been again postponed at the box-office. The bilingual action-thriller shot in Hindi and Telugu, was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on December 25, 2025, however, later, it got delayed to March 19 after the postponement of the shoot due to Sesh’s injury.
While it was clashing with Yash starrer “Toxic” and Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar: The Revenge,” “Dacoit” later got postponed by a week and the makers locked the date of March 27.

And now, the movie's producers have finalized the new release date for April 10, 2026. Interestingly, the film will now lock horns with Akshay Kumar starrer “Bhooth Bangla” at the box-office.
While the genres of both films are different, it would be interesting to see the battle of the screens between these two movies.
Sesh recently shared a detailed note after wrapping the final schedule, which read, “Wrapping the final schedule of Dacoit feels both surreal and deeply emotional for me. This film has been an intense journey, physically, creatively, and mentally. From writing the first draft to now standing at the edge of completion, every phase has demanded complete honesty and commitment. We just wrapped up the last schedule, and there’s a quiet sense of fulfilment that comes with knowing we’ve given this story everything we had."
“Dacoit is not just another film for me; it’s a story that has stayed with me through the nights of writing and days of shooting under challenging conditions. As we head toward an its release in March, I feel incredibly grateful to be sharing this moment with the entire team who believed in the vision from day one. There’s a certain responsibility that comes with releasing a film during a festive period - audiences come in with heightened expectations and that pushes us to be even more honest with our work,” he added.
Speaking about the anticipation around the release of the movie, he further wrote, “The excitement around Dacoit is something we’ve all felt on set, and it motivates us to raise our bar every single day. This final schedule is about tying emotional and narrative threads together, making sure the story lands exactly the way it’s meant to. Once we wrap, the focus will shift to post-production, where the film will find its final rhythm and tone. I genuinely hope audiences feel the same intensity, vulnerability, and passion that went into making this film.”
Directed by Shaneil Deo, the movie also features Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla in prominent roles.
The film is jointly bankrolled by Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang under the banners of S.S. Creations & Suniel Narang Production. The story and screenplay are written by Adivi Sesh & Shaneil Deo.
While the music of the album is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, the editing department is handled by Kodati Pavan Kalyan. Danush Bhaskar has done the cinematography.
