Aamir Khan Visits Arijit Singh In Murshidabad Following Retirement Announcement; ‘Ek Din’ Title Track BTS Video Unveiled
By Sakshi Navare
Ek Din, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, has been making headlines throughout its production. Aamir Khan has now released the film’s title track along with a very special behind-the-scenes video. Sung by Arijit Singh, the track arrives with footage showing Aamir not only shaping the song but also persuading the singer to reconsider his retirement announcement.
Aamir Khan visited Arijit Singh’s hometown, Murshidabad, for the recording of the film’s first song. He reportedly stayed there for four days with Arijit and his family to personally request him to sing for the project and reconsider stepping away from music. Known as one of the most loved voices in the country, Arijit’s vocals were exactly what Aamir envisioned for this romantic story.
Aamir and Arijit worked closely on the film’s first track, and their collaboration has now led to the release of the “Ek Din” title song. The special video captures warm, intimate behind-the-scenes moments from Murshidabad, with Aamir deeply involved in every detail — discussing, guiding, and shaping the track alongside Singh and the team.
“Ek Din” also reunites Aamir Khan with filmmaker Mansoor Khan after a long hiatus, reviving one of Hindi cinema’s most cherished creative partnerships. Together, they have delivered memorable films such as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Akele Hum Akele Tum, and Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na. With “Ek Din,” the duo returns to the romance genre, generating fresh excitement among fans.
Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, “Ek Din” is directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on May 1, 2026.
