The 78th Emmy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on September 15, 2026, with Indian viewers able to watch the ceremony live exclusively on JioHotstar in the early hours of September 15, 2026. When are the 2026 Emmys?
The 78th Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, September 15, 2026, at the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be hosted by Emmy winner Mariska Hargitay and will air live in the U.S. on NBC and stream on Peacock. Because of the time difference, the ceremony will arrive in India on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

What time do the Emmys start in India?
Indian viewers can tune in on September 15, 2026 at the following times:
Red Carpet: 4:30 a.m. IST
Main Ceremony: 5:30 a.m. IST
The streamer has also confirmed the 4:30 a.m. red carpet and 5:30 a.m. main ceremony timings. The main Emmy telecast begins at 8 p.m. ET in the U.S., translating to 5:30 a.m. IST on September 15, 2026.
Who is hosting the 2026 Emmys?
“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star Mariska Hargitay will host the ceremony. The Emmy winner will lead the telecast from the Peacock Theater as the awards celebrate television programming from the 2025 to 2026 eligibility period.
The 78th Emmy Awards are being presented across three nights this year. The Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies will take place on September 5, 2026 and September 6, 2026 with an edited presentation airing on September 12, 2026. The main Primetime Emmy telecast follows on September 14, 2026.
