Vijay Antony’s next titled ‘Appa Kutty’, teams up with Preethi Asrani

Vijay Antony, who is ready with "Nooru Sami", will next be seen in a family entertainer. Mu Maran, who helmed "Blackmail" last year, is directing the project, which has been titled "Appa Kutty". The film, according to Vijay, will be high on emotions and revolves around a father and a daughter. The movie, which is his third production this year, is likely to hit the screens in a few months.
He says, "The shooting of "Appa Kutty" has been happening in Ooty for quite some time. We will begin the next schedule in Chennai soon. We have wrapped up 50 percent of the production and are working in such a way that "Appa Kutty" will be out in theatres two months after "Nooru Sami's release."

Though Vijay says it's way too early to spill the beans about the character he plays in the film, he reveals he is at the helm of music and editing, like in a few previous projects of his. The "Pichaikkaran" star further adds that Preethi Asrani has been paired opposite him for the first time. "Jenson Dhivakar, Sanchana Natarajan, Bagavathi Perumal and Aruvi Madhan, among a few others, will be seen in prominent roles in "Appa Kutty," Vijay signs off.
Meanwhile, "Nooru Sami", the bilingual flick helmed by Sasi, will be released in Telugu, too, under the title Vanda Devullu on May 1. Swasika, Ajay Dhishan, Lijo Mol Jose and Karunaas are essaying key roles in the movie, which deals with a sensitive issue. His long-pending action flick, "Agni Siragugal", which has him sharing screen space with Arun Vijay, is another project of his that's likely to be released soon.
