‘Vaazha 2’ Beats ‘Aadu 3’ To Become The Highest Malayalam Grosser Of 2026
Savin SA’s directorial debut, “Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros”, has achieved a huge milestone, as the coming-of-age dramedy has emerged as the highest Malayalam grosser of 2026 and that too in just eight days.
The sequel, which hit the screens on April 2, collected 7.85 crore yesterday, taking its first extended week total to 55.05 crore. It has now surpassed the business of Jayasurya-starrer “Aadu 3” (₹51 crore) to become the highest Mollywood grosser of the year.
Talking about the global box office, the film is just ₹4 crore behind “Aadu 3” to become the top Malayalam worldwide grosser of the year.

With Pallichattambi featuring Tovino Thomas and Kunchacko Boban’s “Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil” arriving on April 15 on the Vishu festival, “Vaazha 2” is expected to have a solid screen crunch at the ticket windows.
The latest Malayalam blockbuster features prominent social media influencers Hashir H, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy and Vinayak V in lead roles, along with Vijay Babu, Aju Varghese, Bijukuttan and filmmaker Alphonse Puthren. The film has been edited by Kannan Mohan, while the camera is cranked by Akhil Lailasuran.
The music album of “Vaazha 2” is composed by nine composers: Malayali Monkeys, Rajat Prakash, Parvatish Pradeep, Rzee, Muthu, Arcado, Jazir Muhammed, Ashwin Aryan and Electronic Kili.
It is shot in Ernakulam, the United Arab Emirates and Georgia.
