TRP Report: ‘Tumm Se Tumm Tak,’ Pushes ‘Anupamaa’ to the Third Position and ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’ Continues Its Numero Uno Reign

The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has recently announced major changes to the methodology for calculating television TRPs, effective this September. But as far as TRPs of the last few months go, they have been pretty good with top shows getting ratings above 1.8 and 2. In the latest ratings that we have, there are no major surprises or upsets. “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2,” retains its hold on the number one position, followed by “Tumm Se Tumm Tak.” The latter, starring Sharad Kelkar and Niharika Chouksey, is winning hearts every day. With the lead couple getting closer by the day, it is packing in romance and drama in equal measure.

In third place, we have three shows, “Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan,” “Anupamaa,” and “Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain.” Zee TV’s show, "Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan," about a mother and her three resilient daughters has maintained its position for weeks now. “Anupamaa” has a new track in which Anu (Rupali Ganguly) meets Sachin Tyagi’s character in Goa. He is a devastated father who holds onto a cafe in his late daughter’s memory. “Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalta Hain,” is the spin-off of the show, "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2" that focuses on the lives of Vrinda (Tanisha Mehta) and Angad (Rohit Suchanti).

Shows like “Vasudha,” “Naagin 7,” and “Laughter Chefs 3” follow the top three. Rajan Shahi’s “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” and “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” are shows that saw a noticeable drop in their ratings. A shuffle in the TRP charts will be inevitable once the IPL season picks up momentum.
