Thalapathy Vijay Fans Furious Over Beleaguered ‘Jana Nayagan’s Leaked Scenes on Social Media
Already reeling under disappointment caused by the indefinite delay in release of "Jana Nayagan," now dejected fans of actor Vijay are fuming as a few scenes from the movie were leaked last night. This disturbing development has left the Kollywood industry shocked, and apart from the film fraternity, scores of the actor's fans from other film industries have expressed their solidarity with the makers of "Jana Nayagan." Apparently, the first few opening scenes from the movie found their way into social media.
Director H Vinoth, who is distraught with this unfortunate development, took to his Instagram page to express his discontent. He posted, "Every scene carries someone's dream. The leak before release is truly painful. Please support by not sharing it," even as fans kept guessing over the source of the leak. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see if Vijay will comment on the issue. The actor-turned-politician had recently alleged that both DMK and BJP were reasons for "Jana Nayagan's" delay, during one of his political campaigns. The film, which is an adaptation of the Telugu movie "Bhagavanth Kesari," was initially supposed to hit the screens in January. However, the makers did not receive the go-ahead from the CBFC, leaving them in a bind.

Meanwhile, Vijayan Subramanian, the legal counsel for KVN Productions, which has bankrolled the film, has issued a statement and has come down heavily on the culprits behind this leakage. A part of the statement said, "It has come to my client's notice with utmost shock and urgency that certain scenes from the film "Jana Nayagan" have been illegally accessed, downloaded, copied and circulated by certain persons and forwarded to several third parties, creating a serious threat of digital leakage through various social media platforms." He has also warned that this amounts to a serious criminal offence and copyright violation and that every person involved shall be individually liable for criminal action.
There was unconfirmed news recently that the film is likely to be released anytime after the Tamil Nadu Assembly election is over. Fans now have their fingers crossed as the makers contemplate an immediate theatrical release.
