Ever since the "Rama" First Glimpse of “Ramayana” premiered and was later released on social media, it has become the talking point worldwide. While the excitement and curiosity for the saga is at an epic level, Ranbir Kapoor confirmed that he will be seen in a double role in Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial.
While the actor plays Lord Rama, he will also portray Lord Parshurama in the film. The immortal warrior sage is also the avatar of Lord Vishnu, one of the three principal deities in the Hindu pantheon of gods.

Recently, during the teaser launch in Los Angeles, the actor highlighted how he altered his voice and body language to play both characters as they have different temperaments. “Lord Vishnu had different avatars. Lord Rama was an avatar, and Lord Parshurama was an avatar before Lord Rama," Kapoor told Collider.
“Just to get the opportunity, you know, how I got to play Lord Rama, to also play Lord Parshurama was fantastic. As an actor, apart from body language, I think if you deeply understand the spirituality and the emotionality of the characters, I think everything starts from there. I think that’s what I did the year leading up to the shoot of ‘Ramayana,’ to understand who these people and characters are, what they stand for and what their motives are," he added.
Ranbir also confirmed that “Ramayana” will be released in two parts with a total runtime of six hours.
Apart from Ranbir, the film will feature Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lord Rama's brother Lakshmana, Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.
The music of the film is composed by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer and the lyrics are penned by Kumar Vishwas. The first part of "Ramayana" is set to hit the screens this Diwali.
