Box Office Weekend Winners: ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Continues Domination, ‘LIK’ Emerges Surprise Hit, ‘Dacoit’ Disappoints
Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” continues the box office domination. After a brief dip during the weekdays, Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” picked up momentum over the weekend, emerging as audiences’ first choice for the fourth consecutive weekend.
“Dhurandhar 2” collected ₹6.41 crore net on Friday but doubled the business the next day with ₹12.56 crore and ₹13.15 crore on Sunday, adding ₹32.12 crore net over the fourth weekend. The 25-day total collection at the domestic box office now stands at ₹1,043.36 crore net, including ₹980.70 crore in Hindi alone. The film has earned approximately ₹415 crore overseas for a worldwide total of over ₹1700 crore gross, emerging as the biggest Indian blockbuster worldwide without a China and Middle East release.
Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty and S.J. Suryah-starrer Tamil film, “Love Insurance Kompany,” (LIK) emerged as a surprise hit, claiming the second spot at the weekend box office. The sci-fi romantic comedy collected ₹22.70 crore net across Tamil and Telugu languages in three days and is expected to perform well over the weekdays too, given the positive word of mouth among audiences. The film continues Ranganathan's success streak, following “Dude,” “Dragon” and “Love Today”.

Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap-starrer “Dacoit: A Love Story” failed to resonate at the box office with a collection of only ₹19.80 crore net over its debut weekend.
